The Big Slurp!

Today South Hornby School participated in "The Big Slurp".

The Big Slurp is a celebration of the health benefits of school milk programmes around the world by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.
In New Zealand, we celebrate by taking The Big Slurp so we can show our Fonterra Farmers how much we love and appreciate their milk!

All of the classes got mixed up and joined another class so that we could work together in creating the cow masks and then drinking and folding the milk.
Room 56 joined up with their buddy class, LC 1&2. They collaborated in getting the masks complete and then drunk their milk all together on LC 2s mat. The children had lots of fun working with each other!

Drinking the milk all together....

It's almost impossible to tell who is who underneath the masks!
