Maths Family Holiday!

The children were set the task of planning a family of 4 holiday to the Gold Coast, Australia. They were given some guidelines to follow such as; they will be there for 7days and during this time they will be visiting 3 theme parks and the Australia Zoo.

The children had to figure out the coast of the holiday and the amount of kms they would travel.
Things they had to include were:

• Petrol cost
• Theme park cost
• Australia Zoo cost
• Accommodation
• Flights
• Rental car cost

Amongst others.

They were in collaborative groups to practise the skill of collaboration. We sent the task out to them all on their Google Drive accounts- but unfortunately our internet was playing games so had to have paper copies scattered around the rooms, which worked too!
